It's the only grocery store in town. It's convenient enough if you don't want to leave town but I stopped buying ice cream and frozen treats here because they always seem to have melted and been refrozen which is a huge disappointment.
Charlie Brown (manager) makes you feel right at home. Small town feel. Great place and people.
Being the only grocery store in town they set their own prices. I can go to Walmart and buy name brand for what they sale their store brand for but if I have to go their it's only to pick up a few items. Brighter note it's always clean the cashiers are courteous and the baggers are always friendly. Customer service with the cashiers and baggers are top notch.
The prices on groceries are fairly high too.
Well, it's the only store in town, so it has that going for it. Everyone in town has been shopping here since they were kids and half of them worked here at some point. It's not the best/cleanest/cheapest grocery store and chances are you'll occasionally still have to drive to the Publix in the next town to get things they don't carry but it's comfortable and has the all the basics. Stores that were literally better in every way have moved into town, but didn't stick around long. The Pig will be around until the building falls down around it, though.
We love this grocery store. It is well stocked, clean and everyone is always so helpful.
